Agreed! I am kind of on a mission to change this paradigm. I put up with 5 years of abuse because my ex was a pro at making me feel sorry for him and that it was my job to heal him, help him, and be kind to him no matter what he did to me. Never again! Hopefully, I can prevent a few others from making the same mistake.
